Our hearts have been so stretched. During the last two years, we’ve experienced incredible sadness and also absolute joy. Boone is not our first baby. Our precious Charlie Beau was unexpectedly born sleeping at term. The collision of anticipation and loss was numbing. To us, Boone represents the grace amidst tragedy that we have been shown. The name “Boone” means “blessing,” and that he is. We thank God every day for the opportunity to be his parents. To others reading this who may be experiencing an unconventional path to parenthood, please know that you are not alone. You are thought of and prayed for by our family.
